I've always loved drawing comics. I'm no great artist by any means, but I've got my own style - everyone does! Here's one I did a couple years back for The Horn Book - it's called "The Styrofoam Tray Incident," and it's about a time I learned a very important writing lesson...

Nonfiction Man!
During the worst of the pandemic, when we were all stuck inside, Anna (my then-9th- grader) and I came up with an idea of a comic called Nonfiction Man. It's all about the adventures of, well, a writer of nonfiction who dreams of having superpowers. We wrote the stories together and took turns with the art, each drawing every other panel.
