In between writing my ‘serious’ nonfiction books, I’ve had a lot of fun coming up with history/comedy mashups for my new Time Twisters chapter book series. Books 3 and 4 in the series – Neil Armstrong and Nat Love, Space Cowboys, and Amelia Earhart and the Flying Chariot – will be out June 25. Publishers Weekly just had a nice review of Amelia Earhart’s uninvited visit to the ancient Olympics, calling it “a graceful blend of true history and outrageous adventure.” Exactly the mix I was going for!
